Commercial and residential customers are able to choose their own electric providers. CenterPoint Energy manages the electric infrastructure in the Houston area and provides access to the power grid to each electric distributor.

Water & Wastewater
Fort Bend County Water Control and Improvement District #2 (WC & ID #2) owns and operates the water and wastewater infrastructure in the City of Stafford. The District is a political subdivision of the State of Texas governed by an elected five member board and is considered a primary government.
